The first gift of the season

This year, The Polar Express has been big....huge in our family!  We've watched it, read it and even danced to it at Imagine Dance studio.  So, tonight, when I gave the first Christmas present away, that's all I could think about.  You know, where Santa gives the first gift of the season?  The sleigh bell?  Ok, maybe we need to go do other things! Anyway, it just reminded me of how much I love giving presents to people.  So......here's what I'm thinking.  I will take the first three people who email me at bethanyandrob@comcast.net and give them 25% off their picture order between the months of January and February.   If you are a repeat customer, don't forget your free 5x7 added on to that!  Merry Christmas!

has anybody seen the snow?

Ok, so I had every intention of getting the perfect snow shot of my babies and my sister-in-laws kids.  However, as you can see there's not a flake in sight.  It took me so long to get the kids ready and it took so long for her to get the kids down the house, it stopped snowing right before we started shooting.  Oh well.  I guess I'll just pay to get the snow effects in photoshop.  I get an A for effort though.  Here's what we ended up with.

Ok Ellen, I know I told you I wouldn't put these up on the website, but I just had to put a few.  I absolutely fell in love with some of these. Thanks for letting me take your pictures... and watch out for that duck!

Here are  some familiar faces to sophiemac photography.  I love taking pictures downtown and I love taking pictures of Shana and Reid...so I had a great time shooting some Christmas shots in Knoxville.  It is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots to shoot! Not because of Nama's or Coffee and Chocolate, but because there's just so much charm and character on Market Square and in the Old City.

jack and drew

Ok, I know that these pictures all look similar, but I just loved each one of them.  I'm not even done editing and I already have so many! I guess when you're this cute it's hard not to get a good picture.  If I have time, I'll post some more on here.
I had such a blast sunday.  I think this was by far the most fun I've had taking pictures.  I think I laughed until I peed my pants when Jack and Drew bit into those gingerbread men.  Thanks guys for giving me such a fun sunday!

She just realized that she bit into Jack's slober.  Ewww! brother germs!

still room for a few more at the tree farm

I still have a few openings for Christmas pictures at the tree farm. If you're interested, give me a call and let's get something set up.
Also, I'm so excited about my old city pictures for Christmas. I can't wait to post them.  Keep a look out for them as well.  I have a few of those appointments left as well!

fall pictures of my babies

It's been a while since I've taken pictures of my babies so here's a few pictures to show them off a little bit.  They look so much like Robert that it's sickening.  I do all the work and he gets all the credit.

I only have two real children, but these two would qualify as mine as well.  These are my nephews whom Sophia and Mac adore.

Here's a few pictures of the Laxton family.  I do believe they are the nicest family I've ever met.  It was a crazy saturday session.  We ended up somewhere unexpected from where I had originally planned and I lost my keys...in all the fall leaves!  If it wasn't for them, I'd still be there sifting through the leaves.

Mr. Cole the duck man

What a fun time I had with Cole at the park taking fall pictures.  I'm constantly learning about boys daily and Cole helped me discover so much more.  Those big chocolate eyes just melted my heart.  This session was more like a play date.  I think all three of us were dirty before we left but those are the best sessions.  Thanks for letting me play a little bit Cole.  Next time we'll bring bread for the ducks.

Oh yeah, those are the chocolate eyes I'm talking about!

How hilarious is this shot!

david and goliath

Ok, ok so it wasn't a biblical session, but it was a fun sunday afternoon session with Tim and Natalie.  I think Tim is as tall as Natalie is short.  I just enjoyed hanging out with someone shorter than me.  Keep a look out for their wedding pics very soon. They are tying the knot in December and I can't wait!  Here's a few from their engagement session.

My favorite one!! It just looks romantic.

photoshop nightmare!!

I'm sorry it's been so long posting but it's been a nightmare around here.  Photoshop has not been very cooperative for the past two weeks. BUT, I came out victorious in the war. Thanks for being so patient!
