this ones for becky :)

A big shout out to Becky at polka daisies for making our shirts for Disney World.  There were so many people taking pictures of the polka daisies tags on the back of our shirts that it was crazy!  Thank you for such a great job! I hope you get a boat load of business from these shirts!  I know we had enough people ask about them!

Here's a weak attempt at a frontal view.  These were all I could find for now of the fronts.  I'll try a little harder next week.

prom 2009

I still have a few openings available for prom.  I will be shooting in the old city since it is going to be held at the convention center.  These sessions will only be for about 15 to 20 minutes because I know that you guys are going to be super busy that day.  And because of that, I'm only going to charge a 15.00 sitting fee. Again, here's my prom specials if you didn't make it to the prom expo:  2-5x7's, 8-4x6's, 16 wallets  -  $50.00.  You have the option to buy an additional 12 4x6's for $30.00 with any prom purchase as well.  If you are interested, please give me a yell so we can get you a time.

good friday festivities on market square

If you keep up with me at all you know that I love market square.  I was reading in the Sentinal that the churches of downtown knoxville are hosting a walk of the cross at the center of market square tomorrow, good friday.  It is listed as a walk, reflection and prayer and is tailored for adults and children.  Our family is going because I'm going to be there anyway for a shoot and the hannah montanah movie is coming out.  What a conflicting day lol.  Anyway, let me know if you are going to be there.  I'll try to post pictures.

miss madison

This is one of Sophia's bff's.  They always play and sit together at church and they are always quiet as a mouse.....um, yeah.  We shot these during the cold spell and I had to give up my north face to keep Madison warm.  There at the end, her little chin was quivering.  I guess that means that Megan gets mother of the year for dragging her little angel out in the cold to grab a few pictures.  Hm...that sounds like something I would do!

She had the cutest rain jacket and boots to match.  Oh yeah, as if it wasn't cold enough, she went wading in the creek.

Madison posing with Elizabeth Amanda.  I bet you can't guess who named the bunny lol.

I swear! As soon as we sat that stinkin bunny and chicks down, there were cats and dogs coming out of the wood works!  It was crazy! Poor Nene had to stand guard.  But I'm happy to report that we didn't have any casualties.....that day :(  Rest in peace number 6.  We will forever miss your sweet little churp.

the adkins family

This is one of my closest friends in the entire world.  We used to be neighbors and spend every day of the world together but Robert and I ruined the fun and moved away.  I miss them so badly but it makes the time that we do spend together great.  I always bust a gut every time that I'm around their two boys, Michael David and Douglas.  They are so boy but with a welcoming sweet twist.  They are just the best family ever! I love you guys.

rockin' on the farm

I really don't get to get enough pictures of my babies...well, not enough like I want to take.  But here is very recent one taken saturday while I was shooting easter sessions.  I dressed them way down because there's horse poop and mud everywhere.  After I edited this, I realized they looked like little rocker kids.  I had to laugh a little bit.  Here were all these kids decked out in their sunday go to meeting clothes and here were my kids in their saturday lay around clothes.
I promise that I will get their easter pictures up really soon.  Sophia just turned 4 so after I get these 1200 pictures edited and loaded, I'll get her birthday session going.
Aww..aren't they just the cutest, most chocolate eyed sweeties you've ever seen?

2009 Bearden Dance Team

Last Thursday I got the chance to go over to Bearden High School and hang out with the dance team.  Wow, what moves! I was so impressed.  These girls mean business and I heard that they are a force to be recond with.  Their stats consist of 2nd in the state and making it to the semi-finals in Pom and Jazz at the UDA in Orlando, Florida.
This is the new team for 2009 and there are 4 seniors dancing for the bulldogs; Kelsey P., Megan W., Melody M., and Savanah S.

Here are the seniors:

This is Ms. Kelsey.  She was so graceful and poised.  I loved watching her.

This is Ms. Megan.  Look what air!

This is Ms. Savannah.  This gal had some muscles.  She made me go at it a bit harder during my workout.

This is Ms. Melody.  I'd watch her on her turns and she'd land them every time!  I'm not just talking a turn or two but 5 or 6 in a row.  It made me dizzy just watching her.

Thanks for letting me spend the afternoon with you guys.  Sophia loved!!!! it.  She's still talking about it and dancing what she saw.  Thanks for making us both feel welcome.  Ms. Ford is extremely proud of you and I can certainly see why.  You guys are the best.

just the cutest little booger!

I'd like to introduce Sawyer.  He was part of the Easter session saturday.  I have to say that it was love at first sight.  He was the sweetest, happiest little fella that I've ever seen.  I'd take him in a heart beat but I'm sure there's a long line for waiting.  He's such a cutie!

doodle dots

I'm a firm believer in sharing something good and I've found yet another "something good" thanks to a client.  Renee's sister-in-law Kim has started a new business called doodle dots.  I thought that it was the cute bottle cap necklaces and it is but there is so much more.  She has made some of the most adorable buckets and baskets.  Go check out her handy work at www.mydoodledots.blogspot.com

faith

is something that I'm clinging to right now.  My dad was just diagnosed with Merkel Cell carcinoma.  A very rare and aggressive form of skin cancer.  He's had the place taken off his nose, but is going to see an oncologist to find out the next form of treatment and to get a body scan.  I know that skin cancer is most often known for easy treatment and recovery but this is different.  Please just believe with me that the cancer was local and didn't spread into his lymphatic system or anywhere else.  With this type of cancer, that's really not good.
I just want to say thank you to everyone who keeps up with my blog and ask you to please believe with me that he has no more cancer.

He's for sure not a shopper

I've known Zack and his family for a really long time.  They are our camping buddies.  In fact, Bob and Pam are listed in my 10 random things about me on my website.  I was flattered when they ask me to take Zack's senior pictures.  He's quite an accomplished young man.  He is the 2009 CCHS Valedictorian.  And if anyone has a run in with the law, give him a few years because he's going to be practicing law.  I'm just so proud!! However, I found one thing that is not his forte'...shopping and fashion.   When he was showing me what clothes he brought for pictures, he was very quick to point out that the red shirt goes under the grey sweater.  He said, "that's the way the mannequin was wearing it so I bought it."  Gotta love em'.

This is the mannequin's attire.

the magic kingdom

This is where we spent most of our time.  From princess dinners to it's a small world, my babies loved the magic kingdom.  We stayed so busy, it was hard to capture it all between the camera and video.  Here's a few of what we caught.  I'll try to add more.

Sophia just had her bipity bopity boutique make over and she thought she was gorgeous..and she was!  She walked around like she owned the place.  Well, she was a princess I guess.  This is the dress that I spent my entire birthday money on.  Don't ask because I can't tell you why I done it.  She just caught me at a weak moment with those chocolate eyes.
Mac enjoying the parade.  He was clapping his little hands.
Mickey was waving at her and she was waving back.  How sweet!  Check out the guard to the right.  Me and Robert laughed at him the entire time! He refused to let anyone pass by.  He guarded that walk way like a mamma hawk. He chased a lady down who squeeked by him.  It was just one of those things that struck us funny I guess.

First character dining at the contemporary.  You can tell by the look on my face that it wasn't about eating with my two mice.  Don't they look cute?  Mac's little hat was too small and he looked like Alfie in the christmas story when he had to wear the pink pig suit.  He looked so ashamed. It was so funny.  His cheeks were so pushed out! Sophia had ears but didn't wear them because she said they hurt.  Oh well, the bow matches anyways.
One of Mac's favorite rides.  Look at those big brown eyes.
One of my favorite pictures.
He learned how to smile.  Well actually he learned how to show his teeth.  It works well for pictures :)
Sophia getting the princess make over at Cinderella's castle. Pure sassy! Check out those sparkly lips.  When we left there, there were sparkles....er....pixie dust everywhere! I'm still finding pixie dust in her hair!
