Merry Christmas

I just want to take time to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of our friends and family. Sophiemac Photography has looked a little different this year because I decided to go back to work and also take graduate classes full time as well. Thank you for being loyal and patient as I muddled through the chaos. I am so blessed to be able to teach, take pictures, have two wonderful children and an awesome husband. As our Christmas cards said, may you find the joy of the season and the peace of our savior this Christmas. I pray that you have a blessed New Year.

My babies

I am so bad at not taking my babies pictures like I should so when Mac's big 0-3 hit, I decided that I will get his 3 year pictures regardless. A month later, here they are. Better late than never. I literally put my camera in my car and waited for both of my kids to be halfway clean. Here's my little angels.

Nothin says 3 like a good melt down. For some reason, he thought there was a llama in this abandoned building. He cried when we couldn't get in to go see it. Don't ask. I honestly don't know. Maybe one to many Llama Llama books at bedtime.

Meet Scarlet. She is one of those rare youth who actually know what they want and what they are going to do to get there. I was so impressed with her. Ok, ok. I know it's been an extremely long time since my last post. I hate to even go down the busy road because I know that everyone is just as busy as the next, but here goes. Yes, I've been taking pictures. No, I haven't been blogging them. Yes, I am taking 9 hours of graduate classes this fall term. Yes, I am training for Reading Recovery this year. Yes, I am teaching the literacy block to third graders. Yes, I am addicted to the Sookie Stackhouse series and stay up until 1 and 2 o'clock just to finish a book. Ok, that last one is optional but I really am addicted. Anyway, here I am making up for lost time. I am getting ready to update starting with Mr. Rylan. Here are a few of his birthday shots. Thanks Amber and Allen for trusting me with his entire first year of pictures. I'm so glad that we had so much fun wading through puddles, crying in the leaves, and posing in that red chair!

technical difficulties

I don't know what's going on with my blog, but I can't load pictures. Kinda important for a photography blog. I am so behind on loading so keep checking back. Maybe I'll figure something out.

Little Miss Cinderella.....um Snow White.....oh wait! Little Miss Maggie

Meet Maggie. She always comes in my classroom for Hershey's Kisses. I'd like to think it's because I'm the coolest teacher in the world, but I just know better. Mommy wanted some shots and quite honestly when you're this cute, you just can't mess them up so I agreed! She looks like a princess and man can the princess work it! I can't wait to shoot their family shots this summer. You ROCK Maggie! I heart you :)

I almost forgot to say that Maggie dances with Twist and Shout and these were her costumes for their recital. Congratulations on doing such a great job!

In Sophia's eyes, Hannah is the coolest thing since sliced bread. Since she was little, the only memory I have of Hannah is singing and dancing. Seriously, her life is a musical. When she uses the bathroom, she has a song for it. When she eats, there's a song for that. When she's doing her homework....you guessed it. These were her dance recital pictures. Of course she hammed it up as usual! Like the title says, you'll see her on stage in Hollywood one day.

Jenni's senior invitations

I just want to say congratulations to Jenni. She's graduating from Anderson County High School. She's for sure a girl who knows what she wants. She has such a fashion sense! I'd let her pick my clothes out any day. She's majoring in fashion and retail merchandising. I think that's the formal name for it. Let's just say that she's going to be a professional shopper. I'm so jealous! Good luck Jenni!

Jason and Annette

Meet my cousin Jason and his fiance Annette. I'm so happy for him. He's waited 40 years to find the right girl and it's paid off. They asked me to shoot their wedding in June so keep your eyes out for that. Every time I look at these pictures I just smile. I'm so happy for the both of you two!

By the way, this session was at our new house! I think I like stepping out my front door for work!

I haven't added any pictures to my blog in a while. I've just been so busy with life that I honestly forgot to add them. It's late but I had to add my favorite little man on here. I am so totally in love with this guy. I'd take him in a heart beat! Oh, by the way Rylan, you rocked this shoot out son!
