He's for sure not a shopper

I've known Zack and his family for a really long time.  They are our camping buddies.  In fact, Bob and Pam are listed in my 10 random things about me on my website.  I was flattered when they ask me to take Zack's senior pictures.  He's quite an accomplished young man.  He is the 2009 CCHS Valedictorian.  And if anyone has a run in with the law, give him a few years because he's going to be practicing law.  I'm just so proud!! However, I found one thing that is not his forte'...shopping and fashion.   When he was showing me what clothes he brought for pictures, he was very quick to point out that the red shirt goes under the grey sweater.  He said, "that's the way the mannequin was wearing it so I bought it."  Gotta love em'.

This is the mannequin's attire.

the magic kingdom

This is where we spent most of our time.  From princess dinners to it's a small world, my babies loved the magic kingdom.  We stayed so busy, it was hard to capture it all between the camera and video.  Here's a few of what we caught.  I'll try to add more.

Sophia just had her bipity bopity boutique make over and she thought she was gorgeous..and she was!  She walked around like she owned the place.  Well, she was a princess I guess.  This is the dress that I spent my entire birthday money on.  Don't ask because I can't tell you why I done it.  She just caught me at a weak moment with those chocolate eyes.
Mac enjoying the parade.  He was clapping his little hands.
Mickey was waving at her and she was waving back.  How sweet!  Check out the guard to the right.  Me and Robert laughed at him the entire time! He refused to let anyone pass by.  He guarded that walk way like a mamma hawk. He chased a lady down who squeeked by him.  It was just one of those things that struck us funny I guess.

First character dining at the contemporary.  You can tell by the look on my face that it wasn't about eating with my two mice.  Don't they look cute?  Mac's little hat was too small and he looked like Alfie in the christmas story when he had to wear the pink pig suit.  He looked so ashamed. It was so funny.  His cheeks were so pushed out! Sophia had ears but didn't wear them because she said they hurt.  Oh well, the bow matches anyways.
One of Mac's favorite rides.  Look at those big brown eyes.
One of my favorite pictures.
He learned how to smile.  Well actually he learned how to show his teeth.  It works well for pictures :)
Sophia getting the princess make over at Cinderella's castle. Pure sassy! Check out those sparkly lips.  When we left there, there were sparkles....er....pixie dust everywhere! I'm still finding pixie dust in her hair!

hollywood studios will never be the same!

These aren't all of my pictures by far, but I just had to get some posted on here.  I'm having blog withdraws.  Here's some pictures of our visit to Hollywood Studios.  There was just so many things to do there!  Here's a few pictures.

How do you like the new family picture?  Mac HATED this 3-d show!  It was just way too much for him.  At least he looked cute in the glasses.

Even though this was fuzzy, I had to put it on here.  It's just too funny.  I laugh every time I see it.
I refuse to get on the scales for a while.  8 days with no running AND eating freely!

Mac's favorite! Look at his lips.  He was making a motor sound the entire time we saw Mater and Lightning.  He LOVED them.

I can't wait! Here are some of my favorites...I have so many this time.  The camera LOVES Alicia and I do too!

new things to www.sophiemacphotography.com

I said at the first of the year that I have great new things planned for 2009.  One of them is a revamp of the way my website works.  I am in the process of adding a seniors page and an individual wedding page.  Keep your eyes out for the new changes and some more as well.  I wouldn't be surprised if you see a few videos as well!
Also, I'm getting a logo!!!! I've been waiting since November for this. Patience isn't my middle name and I've been so good about waiting but I just can't wait anymore.  It's coming very soon.

and the winner is........

DeAnna Rains :)  She wins a free proof disk for submitting her ideas on what I should do about the untouchable shoes.  If you haven't heard the story, please scroll down and read it.  Sophia and myself were escorted out of a dancing store in Knoxville. I don't know if I will use her idea or any for that fact.  I think that I just need to steer clear of the dancers shop before I start my criminal record.
Congratulations to DeAnna!  You can redeem this offer anytime you wish.  I can't wait!

Ashley and Ashley...do you see a pattern developing here?

I had a double shoot tuesday in the Old City with two teachers at Imagine Dance Studio who just happen to share their first name.  By the way, if you haven't called down there, what are you waiting for?  I'm only going to keep talking about them.  I believe in promoting a good thing and they are a very good thing.
First up, Ashley Teirney...I think I may have just butchered that last name.  We joked about A.T.  being sporty spice and A.S. being dressy spice.  I LOVE the point shoes with bobby socks.  It's original just like A.T.  I don't have many casual shots of her edited yet, but I'll edit this post later.  I just hated to post one without the other.

It's amazing at the people who just stopped and watched this shoot.  I'd love to say that it was my amazing photography ability, but I think it was the combination of two knock out girls, long legs and some major sick moves.  These girls brought it!
Here's two of Knoxville's finest helping to protect from boring pictures.

I wish I had long legs.  Heck, who am I kidding? I just wish that the little legs I have could half way do this.  Such grace.

This is Ashley Sharp.  She was the most animated subject that I've ever seen.  She'd make these hilarious noises every time I'd take the picture.  Here's some action shots with a few casual shots thrown in there.  Oh, check out her calf muscles! I'm SOOOO jealous!  I think I could run from now to eternity and not have legs look like that.

Reagan's turning 3!

Miss Reagan is turning the big 0-3 saturday and Misty wanted to get a few birthday shots.  She came all prepared!  There was pink everywhere! She had pink balloons, pink tutu's, pink high tops, pink bloomers....pink everything!  Can you ever have too much pink when you're a girl?  I don't think so!
Misty, you have the most beautiful kids ever!  I was just in awe of how gorgeous they were with every picture that I edited.  I had such a great time playing at the park.  I still think you were lying on Reagan but we'll finish that discussion another day.  Thanks for letting me take pictures of your babies...yes Mason, I still consider you a baby. Sorry.  It's a mom thing.

Mr. Mason sneaking in a shot on sissy's session :)

Hey Miss Reagan! She was a little worried about where Sally the goose was at.  Yes the goose has a name.  We named it Monday.

One of my favorite shots.  Just look at those cheeks.  I just wanna pinch em' and kiss em'.

A good shot of the pink bloomers

Check out those cookies!  They're even pink!

market square behind the lens

I'm always talking about how much I love Market Square and not just for pictures.  I love eating and just hanging out in the atmosphere.  I had two session there tuesday and I thought I'd share some pictures of why I love it so much.  Be looking for Ashley and Ashley's pictures coming very soon!

This is at Market 4.  One of my very new favorite restaurants.  Every time I eat there, I see something being carried out to another table and I know what I want to order next time.  The chicken with wheat waffles are delicious!

Our appetizer tuesday.  Pulled pork quesadillas with spicy chow chow.

My favorite part, the bakery.  We all fought over the last white chocolate banana pudding.  Kim was victorious.

Temptation everywhere!

I didn't get any shots of Coffee and Chocolate because we were in a hurry, but that was our last stop before we headed home.  Thanks girls for such a fun and filling shoot.

bunnies and chicks

Sophiemac is going down on the farm for easter.  The first easter sessions will be available Saturday, April 4th.  Morning sessions are already filled, but I have sessions beginning at 2:15.  Sessions are going to be outside at a barn up the valley with live bunnies and chicks.  I have easter baskets but feel free to bring your own.  Please give me a call or send me an email to book your sessions.  I will be offering other dates soon.

success at expo 2009

Today was the prom/bridal expo at Caryville Elementary. I've included the vendors who were there.  I have some information on some and others, well....I'm very sorry.  I tried to get around to talk but I missed some of you.  I had a great time and met some really great people.  I look forward to some upcoming shoots with some new clients that I met today.  I'll see you guys really soon.

This booth belongs to Carla Hoskins of Classic Images.

Here's my booth.  I can't believe I didn't take more pictures than this! I was so busy taking pictures of other booths that I totally forgot about myself.  Oh well.  At least you can tell where I ate lunch there in the floor.

This is Southern Charm Portraits booth. Pink and blue of course!

Southern Living at home booth.  Cute stuff. Her name and number is below.  Give her a call!

These two girls were just too shy to get in front of the camera so here's a shot of their building and the number.  Summer time is coming so go get those bums brown.

These two gals were from Knoxville.  They had some really cute things.  Very girly!  Here's her business card with her information on it.  Go check her out.  You won't be wasting your time.

Ok, three words....Strawberry Chocolate Cake.  Enough said!  Yum, Yum, Yum.  And they deliver!!

How cute are these?

This booth was from the wedding chapel.  Her husband made these flowers!  Aren't they pretty? She also has her own photography business.  She's got a lot going on!

I didn't get to talk to these ladies, but they had some really pretty jewelry.  I'd love to give a phone number or web site if anyone has any information on it.

Mary Kay booth

Pure sassy is what this booth is.  This is from Sports Chicks and boy do they have frills and feathers!  Such cute things any girl who dances or cheers could want.  They had me at zebra print balloons.  If you want some more information, contact Tammy Miracle.

This was one of my neighbors today from Peebles.  I have to say that there wasn't many boys out and about so she was a little slow.  She should have just come on over and took a rest on my couch.

The Gilded Gown representing!

This was one of the nicest ladies.  Her booth was all about healthy living and eating.  I kind of found it funny that it was right beside the wedding cake.

Good ole' Imagine Dance Studio was there offering ballroom dancing lessons.  The number is on the picture if you're interested.  They are offered here in town behind Eagle Mart.

This was my other neighbor.  He was just a jack of all trades.  He was a photographer and dj all in one.  He provided sound for the days events.  His wife was really nice as well.  She's starting a new adventure in computers.  I'll be getting some more information on her soon.

And last but not least, Polkadaisies.  Such cute things come from Becky!  Go check her out at www.polkadaisiesblog.com
Really, who's workroom looks like this besides Martha Stewart?
